Raisa Luther is a dedicated, multilingual clinical psychologist and psychotherapist with diverse experience in the mental health field. She is particularly skilled in formulation, psychometric assessments, evidence-based psychotherapies, and clinical supervision.
In her career, Raisa has worked across various settings, consistently evolving her knowledge and skills. Over the last 10 years, she has worked in various therapy settings, including outpatient departments, drug and alcohol rehabilitation centres, acute care units, community settings, and inpatient complex care hospitals both in UK and India.
In terms of her therapeutic approach, Raisa employs a flexible and person-centred method, building on a solid foundation of theoretical knowledge and practical experience. She utilises various therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing, within a short to medium time frame. This is suitable for individuals experiencing emotional distress, feeling overwhelmed by their relationships or work, and seeking guidance to help them regain their sense of direction.
Raisa often places evidence-based, structured approaches within a framework rooted in mindfulness and acceptance, creating a tailored and holistic approach for each individual. She also takes a trauma-informed and reflective approach, examining mental health challenges through a culturally sensitive lens.
Additionally, she incorporates Eastern practices such as mindfulness through the use of gentle movements and pranayama (breathing exercises), which contribute to cultivating a gentle, inquisitive, and compassionate perspective towards yourself and the world.
