Psychological Therapist
Jasenka Hoffmann is a Psychological Therapist with more than a decade of experience, offering a safe, non-judgemental space where you can talk in confidence. Currently able to offer both in-person and online sessions, held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, Jasenka is based in North London.
Jasenka completed her masters degree in General Psychology in 2013 and her training in Clinical Expressive Art Therapy in 2016. That training included working with adults and children with a wide range of difficulties including neurodiversity, anxiety disorders, depression, post traumatic stress disorder and childhood difficulties.
During her studies she developed an interest in both research approaches in cognitive and developmental psychology, child therapy and counselling, completing and publishing several research investigations in the field of visual and verbal processing, and the impacts of a post traumatic stress disorder on processing and reactions to tasks.
Since qualifying for a masters degree, Jasenka worked for a decade in various settings and internationally: at the Children Hospital, Therapy Centres for children and families, Schools, Children Residential House and in the Employee Assistance Program Company.
While working in Croatia, as a child Psychologist she offered psychological assessments, therapeutic interventions and counselling for early years, primary and secondary school children and their family members. Since moving to London, in 2019, she worked as an early development Senior Therapist, School Counsellor and EAP Counsellor, providing psychological based support therapy and counselling to both children and adults.
Jasenka conducts assessments (ADOS and BASC form, observations and interviews with child, parents and teachers), creating individual therapy session plans for children affected with ASD, ADHD, and mental, emotional, and behavioural difficulties, age range from 2 years old to young adults.
She can provide one-to-one and small group sessions for children, adolescents and adults with emotional, self-esteem, confidence or interaction/social skills difficulties, using a holistic approach and combination of art therapy techniques, talk therapy and solution-focused strategies, rooted in cognitive behavioural and dialectical therapy concepts.
