Francine Wilks
BSc,
Clinical Lead
Francine Wilks has extensive experience working with children and young people across a range of specialist provisions, supporting those with complex needs to access education and develop essential life skills. This early experience provided a strong foundation in understanding the diverse presentations of neurodevelopmental differences and the importance of individualised, child-centred support.
She went on to complete a degree in Psychology and Sociology, followed by a qualification in Children’s Nursing, further strengthening her clinical knowledge and holistic understanding of child development, mental health, and family systems.
Francine has since specialised in neurodevelopmental conditions, with particular expertise in autism and related profiles. She is trained in gold-standard assessment tools, including the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS) and the Autism Diagnostic Interview–Revised (ADI-R), and has significant experience conducting comprehensive neurodevelopmental assessments.
Her professional experience spans both NHS services and private practice, allowing her to bring a balanced, evidence-based, and compassionate approach to her work. Francine is committed to delivering neurodivergence-affirming care, ensuring that each child and family feels understood, supported, and empowered.
